After graduating from university, Beverley began her operatic career as Rosina in The Barber Of Seville for Welsh National Opera. Her other roles include Carmen, Santuzza and Amneris.

She's performed at all the major concert halls in this country, including at the Royal Albert Hall for the Queen and Prince Philip. Across the Atlantic she's appeared in concerts from Vancouver to New York.

Versatility is Beverley's hallmark. No stranger to BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4, she's also appeared on TV as a singer and a presenter.

Beverley's just as much at home with Anthony Worrall Thompson in Sing For Your Supper as she is with the music of Stephen Sondheim and the jazz standards.

In 1992, Beverley was given the honour of being the first singer in the history of Welsh rugby to step out onto the hallowed turf in the National Stadium to lead the tens of thousands of spectators in the field, and millions all over the world, in the singing of the Welsh national anthem.

Beverley's written and toured with her one-woman shows which include Seven Women Under One Hat, A Tribute To Ivor Novello and Legendary Ladies (Marlene Dietrich, Judy Garland and Gertrude Lawrence).

She also worked on Virgins, Victims and Vamps and made an acclaimed four-part BBC Radio Wales series on Paul Robeson.

Beverley also manages to fit charity work into her busy schedule. She's the Welsh representative for the Christian charity Feed The Minds, patron of Crossroads (Caring For Carers), trustee of Growing Space (mental health project) and was co-ordinator of the Let Paul Robeson Sing exhibition.

As well as Showtime, Beverley hosts the BBC National Orchestra of Wales programmes on Radio Wales.
