Radio Wales Phone-In Update

On Monday's Phone-In

SHOULD PRODUCT PLACEMENT BE ALLOWED ON BRITISH TV? Under new plans to be unveiled this week independent broadcasters will be allowed to take payments for putting a product on say, Coronation Street or Emmerdale. Would it change the way you watch telly? Is it the best way to ease the funding crisis in UK television? Would you get fed up of seeing big brands on your favourite shows? Maybe it would bring much needed cash into the cash strapped broadcasting industry? It could even produce better programmes? 03700 100 110, text 81012.

SHOULD SIR ELTON JOHN BE ALLOWED TO ADOPT A BABY? Sir Elton says he wants to adopt an Ukrainian baby who's in an orphanage. Many celebrities have adopted foreign orphans but some say it's leading to poor families putting their children into orphanages in the hope they'll be adopted by rich foreigners? Are Elton's plans sending out the wrong message?

WHY DO YOU THINK DAME VERA LYNN HAS MADE IT TO NUMBER ONE? The Forces' sweetheart has become the oldest living artist to top the UK album chart. She achieved her success with her album, We'll Meet Again - The Very Best of Vera Lynn, which has been steadily climbing the chart in recent weeks. Dame Vera told BBC News she was "surprised" at going to number one, knocking last week's chart-toppers Arctic Monkeys into fourth place. Have you bought her CD? What's her continuing appeal? How has she done it?
