Pricey Ink

Rhodri Marsden joins us with a blog about the high cost of replacing ink cartridges and wonders why the ink is such a precious commodity.

Intelligent Play

Computer games have been blamed for helping our youngsters become increasingly unfit over the last decade or two, but now the thinking behind games is being employed in new "intelligent" playground equipment. Adam talks to Barry Leahey from Playdale

The PC Doctor is in...

Our PC Doctor Simon Zerafa has a question from Mike Griffiths in the Rhondda. "Orange option icon 2 usb plug and play will not play on my Windows XP. I downloaded drivers and software but windows can't detect the device"

Simon says: Try it on another PC if possible just to see if it is recognised (even without the software installed, a USB device should at least be recognsed). If so, then maybe some of your USB sockets aren't connected (this is not unheard of). Are you able to use other USB devices (external drive, memory stick etc) on other USB sockets on your PC? Is the modem recognised by other USB sockets? If the problem isn't with your PC, then you should consider a call to Orange to try to resolve the problem.

Any problems for PC Doctor Simon Zerafa can be e-mailed to mousemat@bbc.co.uk
