Fingerprint problem
Simon Zerafa continues his unravelling of a problem for Louis Dias about a fingerprint enabled encrypted USB drive. The listener's PC works fine with other USB devices, including a firngerprint mouse, but the encryption used by the fingerprint scanner appears to be causing a problem, particularly with Google Desktop search. One suggestion is to try Microsoft Windows desktop search, which is available as a free download for XP (it is already built into Vista). Also there is product for encryption called TrueCrypt which is free open source encryption software.
