Programme One: The Home Cook

In the first programme 35-year-old Rebecca Boffy from Barry aims to impress with her seafood dish of Pan Fried Fillet of Seabass on a Crab & Saffron Risotto. Rebecca is a special needs teacher, a mum of three and also plays rugby in the back row for Barry Ravens RFC. Despite her hectic work and home life, she's a passionate cook, not only feeding the family from scratch every day but preparing food for up to 50 people after every rugby match she plays in. And she also has access to the freshest ingredients. "My dad's an avid fisherman so I get all sorts from bass and cod to turbot and skatewings," Rebecca explains. "I love cooking fish. As my dad has always fished, I've grown up eating a lot of seafood." In 'Wales On The Menu' Rebecca is set the challenge of cooking her seafood dish in one of the best coastal restaurants in the country.
