Dame Shirley Day on BBC Radio Wales

Friday 23rd October was Dame Shirley Day on BBC Radio Wales.

Radio Wales spent a whole day celebrating the music of the girl from Tiger Bay, and looking back at 50 fantastic years in the business with plenty of special features.

Listen again to 'Get The Party Started' - Alan Thompson and Mal Pope's review of Dame Shirley Day.

The day culminated in a live concert for the BBC Electric Proms from the Roundhouse in London.

Here on the Radio Wales website, in conjunction with the Wales Music site you'll find archive clips, photographs, a biography and more.
