Monday 4 May 2009 marked 30 years since Margaret Thatcher entered the doors of 10 Downing Street as Prime Minister of the UK. For better or for worse, she transformed life in Britain in the 1980s. Good Morning Wales marks this milestone with a week of special reports, remembering the Thatcher years, speaking to people who were close to her, and assessing her legacy in Wales.
In this special report, the programme considered some of her central policies. Reporter Kayley Thomas visited one town in Blaenau Gwent to examine the impact of some of Thatcher's big ideas.
