Wednesday 1st July 1969 saw the investiture of the Prince of Wales at Caernarfon Castle. It was a ceremony watched by millions across the world. The event was planned by the Earl of Snowdon, then married to the Queen's sister, in his role as the Constable of the castle.
Lord Snowdon, whose family come from the area, kept a scrapbook from the event and forty years on he shared some of his memories with our reporter David Cornock.
