Pobol y Cwm has beaten off competition from EastEnders and Doctors to win a Mental Health in the Media Award in the soaps and continuing drama category. In a packed awards ceremony at the home of BAFTA in London on November 24, the series won the award for the depiction of single mum Nesta's post-natal depression, played by Catrin Mara.
