Welsh Composers' Project
The Welsh composers' workshops and performances took place Thursday 12 and Friday 13 March 2009 at BBC Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff Bay. The two day project showcased works by Welsh composers worthy of wider exposure. The project was led by our Principal Guest Conductor, Jac van Steen, who selected the scores for the project. One of the scores in particular Jac felt was appropriate for the young, talented Jonathan Mann to be involved in the project. Jonathan therefore conducted one of pieces that was selected.

Nature was the theme of the concerts' and expert Iolo Williams was on hand to explain the lifestyles and (sometimes) disgusting habits of some of the creatures. The concert also provided 6 lucky children from each concert with the opportunity to get on the stage and conduct with conductor Grant Llewelyn.
