Steven Kings received his musical training at the King's School Worcester, St John's College Cambridge and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he specialised in composition and piano.
He has performed around the country as a soloist and chamber musician, with a special interest in 20th century music.
He now lives in Bristol, where he is busy as a pianist and piano teacher and much in demand as an accompanist, especially to singers and choirs.
In addition to his work with the BBC National Chorus of Wales he is accompanist to the Bristol Choral Society and conductor of the Thornbury Choral Society.
He is also a composer with a growing list of commissions and prizes to his name, and in 2003 his 'haiku mass' for choir and brass was nominated for a British Composer Award.
