Abergele Harriers Running Club

This site is friendly and bright, and gives the impression that Abergele Harriers is a small but thriving club with plenty going on. Whether you have ambitions to run the London Marathon or just want to get some exercise, this site tells you all about running, offers up-to-date postings on the club's fixtures and achievements and forthcoming social events. The navigation buttons are very descriptive, though do not follow you from page to page.


Great Orme Badminton Club

This site is well-illustrated with photos of the club players and facilities, as well as information on how to join and where to go. Although there is no navigation bar beyond the home page, there are useful links to other badminton sites in North Wales and beyond.

Adrian Wright Karate

Llandudno & District Darts League

This amazingly detailed website seems to contain just about everything you could need to know about the league and it features the legendary Arthur Williams' reports and commentary.

Anglesey Marathon

This event was revived after a gap of 18 years in 2004. There's also a 5k fun run, lots of family activities and Colin Jackson as star guest. You can enter the race online.

Seki Ryu Zan (Karate Club, Bangor)

A little lesson in Japanese for you - seki ruy zan means 'the mountain of the Red Dragon' - which is a very apt name for this Bangor Karate club. The bilingual website is easy on the eye, and straight-forward to navigate - though the function to change from Welsh to English is hidden in faint text at the bottom of the homepage. As well as details of classes, there are profiles of all the instructors, a history of this type of karate and pictures of all the different moves.

Keep up to date with Craig y Don Bowling Club's events on this friendly and informative site. It is crammed with details of the club, including facilities, membership and newsletters as well as links to other bowling websites. Why not test your knowledge of Welsh Crown Green Bowls in the quiz? The site itself is relatively easy to get around, but the back button is needed to return to the previous page.

Snowdonia Marathon

The race from Nant Peris on a circular route through the national park has been going since 1982 and attracts hundreds of runner every October. Course and entry details are on the site.

Zanshin Karate

With its headquarters in Tywyn, the club also has members throughout Gwynedd and further afield.
