Seki Ryu Zan (Karate Club, Bangor)
http://www.sekiryuzan.org
A little lesson in Japanese for you - seki ruy zan means 'the mountain of the Red Dragon' - which is a very apt name for this Bangor Karate club. The bilingual website is easy on the eye, and straight-forward to navigate - though the function to change from Welsh to English is hidden in faint text at the bottom of the homepage. As well as details of classes, there are profiles of all the instructors, a history of this type of karate and pictures of all the different moves.

http://www.menai.ac.uk/
Around 6,000 students attend this college of further education with main bases in Bangor and Llangefni, but other centres in Caernarfon and Holyhead. As well as useful directories of courses, facilities and resources, there are links to various projects and their own multi-media discussion forum
Gwynedd Museum and Gallery

North Wales Chronicle
http://www.northwaleschronicle.co.uk/
This site is a bit hit and miss, as not all the links lead to the expected information. But there are handy sections, particularly the classifieds, jobs-seeking, and links to information on travel and accommodation in the area. It is, however, necessary to click the back button to return to the home page from these sections. You can also keep up-to-date with some local news stories.

http://www.theonlinemail.co.uk/
Get the latest news, views and ads from the Trinity Mirror weekly papers covering Bangor and the whole of Anglesey.
City of Bangor Male Voice Choir
http://www.bangormalevoicechoir.i12.com/
Here you can listen to the choir and see what you think! You can also see photos of their past performances and learn about the history of the choir. It is necessary always to use the back button when leaving the homepage and the information isn't up-to-date, but it's a nice introduction to the choir.

Bangor City FC historical website
http://homepages.tesco.net/~BCSA

It takes a few clicks to reach the index page, but there you can view the clubs stats in European and Welsh cups and leagues since 1950, the history of the club since its creation and find out which players went on to glory as capped Welsh internationals. The homepage promises more information as the site expands.
Old Bangor
http://www.woodvine.com/bangor/
This site is, by its own admission, a work in progress and the gallery will probably grow larger in time. Just click on a photo of old Bangor for an enlarged image and an interesting and witty commentary of what's on view. Suggested by Andrew Woodvine of Bangor.
Maesgeirchen and Tan-y-Bryn Residents
http://www.matra.org.uk/
This site is a great introduction to the work of the Maesgeirchen and Tan-y-Bryn Residents' Association. Just click on one of the clearly labelled links, and find out about current community projects, local groups and interesting anecdotes about the history of the area.

http://www.esgobaethbangordiocese.org/
