Bangor University

The University of Wales in Bangor offers a wide range of degree and postgraduate courses to students from all over the world, as well as courses for the community through the Lifelong Learning department. The site has a wealth of information about all aspects of university life for current staff and students, prospective students and visitors, plus details of facilities open to the community.

Coleg Harlech, which merged with the Workers Educational Association (North Wales) in 2001, offers education to adults in the community, as well as residential courses tailored to the needs of adults who were perhaps failed by the traditional education system.
Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor

This college of further education is based in four locations - in Dolgellau, Pwllheli, Porthmadog and Glynllifon, near Caernarfon. Faculties include business and leisure, land-based operations, humanities and continuing education. The range of courses is listed on their bright website.
Coleg Menai

Around 6,000 students attend this college of further education with main bases in Bangor and Llangefni, but other centres in Caernarfon and Holyhead. As well as useful directories of courses, facilities and resources, there are links to various projects and their own multi-media discussion forum.
Llandrillo College

This partnership of 10 further education colleges in North Wales aims to improve access to learning in the community by offering more flexible and part-time courses, relevant to the needs of the community in the region.

Learndirect delivers online courses in a variety of subjects. To sign up for a course you'll need to visit a Learndirect learning centre. There are centres in Llandudno and Holyhead. Once you've signed up you can follow the course at your nearest centre or at home.

This organisation is based in Denbigh, but also offers classes to Welsh learners all over the county of Conwy, from beginners to advanced students, at a range of locations in different towns and villages. They also run a Welsh club in Old Colwyn where learners can practise informally.
