Mostly dry, but very cold with widespread frost.

This Evening and Tonight:
Mostly dry with prolonged clear spells allowing temperatures to plummet overnight. A widespread and locally severe frost will form across the country. However, the odd mainly light sleet or snow shower may affect the far west at times.

Saturday:
A mostly dry and and sunny start but with a risk of sleet or snow showers through the day, these mainly in the north and west. Remaining cold.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Sleet or snow showers Sunday, heavy in the north and west. Bright spells and further wintry showers in places Monday. Risk of longer spells of sleet or snow Tuesday.
