What a lovely walk (17/2/09). Our 6 yr old daughter managed it easily so don't be put off if you've got sensible children - it's a wonderful family outing. The views are stunning. We even managed to picnic at the one bench high up overlooking the estuary. It was featured on BBC Countryfile this weekend as one of the best places to visit, and it certainly is.

My husband and myself, our daughter and her partner have completed the walk and loved it. Did it again on Jan 3rd 09 - what a beautiful day, enjoyed it even more. We would recommend it to all walkers.

Did this walk 10 years ago with my new born daughter in a back pack and enjoyed it then. Did it again last week with her 4yr old sister and despite the rain and mist we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Not one for people who don't like walking close to the edge and it helps if your kids treat it with some respect! What a great walk.

Yesterday was my third trip in two years around this breath-taking walk. On this occasion I took my 72-year-old mum, who had her hip replaced 11 months ago and she enjoyed every minute of it. The number of stiles has now been reduced to two.

Don't forget New Precipice Walk which is only a few miles away. I think this has better views, but you have to walk the 800 feet up to it (unless you drive the narrow windy road). There is also a beautiful lake (Llyn Tan y Graig) about 500 feet up (and you'll miss this if you drive up).

The walk was very good and the views are very beautiful, I was amazed how many tourists visited these walks from around the world.

The walk is amazing - absolutely 'picture postcard' scenery for minimal effort ensuring a great deal of pleasure for the maximum amount of people.

Despite my earlier recommendations I walked The Precipice with my five-year-old son on a recent visit and he loved it. In fact he liked it so much we did it twice over a period of a few days - a couple of hours walking guarantees an early bedtime every time!

Whilst this is a wonderful walk with some of the best views I've ever seen, it's not called the "Precipice Walk" for nothing!! My small children enjoyed, but if you haven't a head for heights then I'd just walk it clockwise instead to get great views without the steep drop!

A fantastic walk, have done it many, many times; have taken the kids on it from when they were very little, in all weathers. Have met all sorts of wonderful people on it, some American people who thought they were looking at Snowdon instead of Cader Idris! We liked the area so much we bought a house there to retire to!

One of the best walks in North Wales, with great views, especially on the West side. There are informative information posts along the way - watch out for buzzards! It's also a circular walk which makes it much more interesting. However, it is very steep in parts and I wouldn't want to take children under the age of about eight or so -if you're not sure check it beforehand.

Wow, what an amazing view, from every part of this walk. You keep thinking it can't get any better, then it does. I would say that the path is a bit precarious in places though, with the almost sheer drop on one side down to the river valley. I would not recommend it for anyone who is very nervous of heights, or less than sure-footed.
