Great place to base yourself for 2/3 days to explore Snowdonia whether by car or walking through the lush green forests/lakes / waterfalls As close to Canada as you will ever get in the UK..

We did this walk Aug 2005: beautiful walk, lovely village. Fantastic rivers - we are going back Easter Monday.

I did this walk last week (02 Feb 2006).
It was excellent and the directions were superb. It's an ideal walk for less experienced as it's fairly easy going and you're always close to town if you need to stop anytime.
Highly recommended.
