These pictures were taken by pupils of Tywyn Secondary School during a series of photo workshops on the BBC Hysbys community bus with Dewi Jones, a professional photographer from Pontllyfni.

The group were all studying art and they used computer software to manipulate their work before choosing their favourites for this slideshow.

The main aim was to give children an opportunity to take photographs of life within their local communities.

The workshops form part of a wider consultancy project by Gwynedd Council's development department, involving children, young people and families.

There are plans to organise an exhibition of the work, and a selection of the photographs will be used in council literature.

The workshops were organised by Mabis of Menter a Busnes, the Welsh business support organisation.
