Rhosneigr

Perhaps the principal centre for water sports on the island, Rhosneigr is well-served with shops and tourist facilities. Wind surfers, kite surfers and sailors rule the waves.

One of the best locations in the north west of wales for many water and wind sports ever! I have had many unforgettable trips there and always had a greattime, i am kiteboarder and appreciate the long hard and golden stretches of the beach and facilities found there and recommend a visit to everyone!

Are the waves powerful enough to surf in the day, and do the beaches have the rnli on them?

Just got back from Rhosneigr. Decided to stop and stay there halfway through the coastal walk. The weather was superb, the beach is so clean with beautiful golden sands. But the best thing was that despite the fact it was mid August all the beaches were so, so quiet. Whilst you chill out you can admire the RAF doing there stuff above your head in the sunny skies. Plus you great views of mainland Wales and Holyhead. A fantastic place.

We spent a lovely day today at Rhosneigr. Weather was fab. Toilets were unexpectedly spotless. Lots of lovely friendly people on the beach, but the best thing was the surf. Highly recommended!

Best windsurfing location in the North West UK, I have been windsurfing for 25 years here. Rivermouth and RAF valley beach get sweet waves. Safe, and Great for beginers, Cleanest steepest waves Just after high tide. Bonus is surfshop on beach!
