Club cricket
Mike Short from Colwyn Bay explains how club cricket works in this region.
"There are six divisions in the North Wales Cricket League for the 38 clubs in the area, and all games are played on a Saturday. Two teams get promoted/demoted at the end of each season (April to September).
There are trophies each year for the best batsman, bowler and wicket keeper.
The Welsh Cricket website (see link right) has information on fixtures, results and lots more."
County cricket
The North Wales Regional Cricket Association organises competitions on a county level for north Wales. The counties run along the old county lines of Meirionydd, Caernarfonshire, Flintshire, Denbighshire and Montgomeryshire.
They run competitions for senior players and for under 19s, held between May and August each year.
Junior cricket
John Huband from Rhos-on-Sea, the CCC development officer for North Wales, said:
"For junior cricket purposes, the area of north west Wales is known as Eryri (which stretches from Abergele to Anglesey, Bangor to Tywyn).
There are three leagues for boys - under 11s, 13s and 15s. Each individual club will hold its own practice sessions for young players.
Players are chosen from these three leagues to represent Eryri in competition against the other seven areas of Wales.
There is also a centre of excellence at Towyn Leisure Centre which runs training sessions throughout the winter for those who show particular talent, with the opportunity to play for Wales. There are more boys than ever from north Wales making it on to the Welsh team.
Girls cricket is a little sporadic, but improving all the time. There are opportunities for girls to play club cricket in Holyhead, Conwy and Prestatyn and there are moves underway to organise regional sides across Wales.
The increase in junior club cricket has encouraged a revival in schools cricket and many primary schools link up with their local clubs for coaching. Cricket is also a part of the Dragon Sports scheme. (See sports initiatives for more information
There is a well-established structure of voluntary coaching in north west Wales. If anyone's interested in offering their services, you can approach an individual cricket club or you can contact me at Conwy County Council for information on training programmes and the opportunity to gain coaching qualifications."

Colwyn Bay is the best ground in Wales. It hosts Glamorgan games and is hosting an ashes test match this year (for the deaf). Have you seen the state of Llandudno's ground, if you can call it that? You get pregnant 15 year olds walking on the field of play! It's in a local park and is an absolute disgrace.

Carly Wedge and Bryan Banan, Llandudno C.C.
Llandudno are the best team in North Wales. They have three successfully run junior teams, Under 11, 13 and 15. The coaches are all professionally trained through the England and Wales Cricket Board. All coaches are enthusiastic, approachable and strive to include all players at all times. There are three senior teams, highly successful in the last few years in the Welsh Cup and leagues. There is also a friendly Sunday side who entertain touring sides and offer a social aspect to the game. All in all Llandudno CC are a friendly, tight-knit club welcoming all players from every standard.

Perhaps your website could also mention the annual 1st class fixture played at Colwyn Bay by Glamorgan CCC each year in August.
