The Spinnies, near Bangor

You can see blue tits, chaffinches, a few sparrows and the greater spotted woodpecker. Another bird which sometimes visits is the nuthatch which feeds upside down.

The pride of the hide is the kingfisher which perches on the specially-placed branch just to the left of the smaller hide. He looks down, sees a fish and dives for it - it's fantastic to see. He goes elsewhere to breed during the summer, but returns to us each winter.
