Whilst working at Wylfa power station in, I think, the early eighties, I was convinced I saw flamingoes at Cemlyn. They were in the lagoon behind the shingle beach. Being on my own when I saw them, I was unable to convince anyone else of what I had seen. Has anyone else seen them?

East of the mainsweep of Cemlyn, in one (only) of the tiny coves, and in one year only, perhaps 40 years ago, the whole cove was packed with empty shells. the round ones like snailshells, only smaller (1.5 to 2cms diam) all either pink or silver. Beautiful. Never seen anything like it since.
