Entity
Last updated: 17 August 2006
Artist / Band: Entity
From: Ravenspoint, Anglesey
Style / influences: 'Brutal Lounge Metal' -
We're inspired by a wide variety of music and different styles/genres. We're mostly influenced by Jagermeister, Jack Daniels,Staropramen and Snakebite
Who's in the band? John (throat) Beetle (Guitar) Norris (Bass + throat) Meyer (Drums)
Been going since: We started writing as Entity in the summer of 2005
Where they play: Anywhere and everywhere
Favourite local venue: Hendre Hall - Tal-y-bont, Bangor
Songs they cover: In the past we've covered songs by the Melvins, Gary Numan, Michael Jackson, Hatebreed, Sepultura, Stonesour, Black Sabbath and the Ghostbusters theme tune.
Recordings available: We have a 5 track E.p available, you can check out the songs at www.myspace.com/idreamofbrokenglass
Best moment so far: The moments just keep getting better and better, that's probably the best thing so far, and will continue to be.
Future plans: Hopefully to record our new material which sees our songs maturing a lot, and to try and wangle a session out of Radio 1 at some point too! Other than that, plenty more gigs around the UK.
Favourite other local bands: Anti Life Theory, Salem, Army of Crows, First to die, Kobe, The DethKats, Glen U.K. Anaemic, Harlot Farm, Junk, Toadstool, Haemasonic.
Any bad gigging moments so far?: There's been a few injuries, some technical dilemmas, the usual stuff. They're very useful and more often than not quite funny.
What's in the name?: Familiarity and recognition, a trigger for people to remember us by, we'd still smell as sweet by any other name, just that our name is Entity.
Fantasy gig venue?: Castle Grayskull! I bet Beastman loves Hardcore music!
Who'd you like to see down the front?: Anyone with comedy hair, perhaps a few zebras, Alf from Home and Away
New law your band would introduce?: I'm not going to get controversial here, sorry!
Anything else we should know?: Keep checking our myspace profile if you're interested in what we do, there'll be regular updates on the gigs we're playing and hopefully some new material from time to time. Myspace is the way forward in the music industry, even if it is annoyingly addictive, like some form of internet based Heroin. They finally found a virus that has spread from the computer into the user!
