Cabalatchio

Last updated: 27 November 2005

Cabalatchio - the original line-up

  • Artist / Band: Cabalatchio.
  • From: Blaenau Ffestiniog.
  • Style / Influences: Heavy and Progressive Rock, Metallica, Dream Theatre, Liquid Tension Experiment, Cky, The Black Mages.
  • Who's in the band? Andrew Cockerill (guitar, bass & vocals), Orrin O'Neill (drums & vocals - don't worry I'll explain later).
  • Been going since: Beginning of 2004.
  • Where they play: Wherever we can get gigs.
  • Favourite local venue: Ysgol Y Moelwyn.
  • Songs they cover: None at the moment.
  • Recordings available: None, although Carnifal Freek had some airtime because of the Battle of the Bands.
  • Best moment so far: Coming second in the BBC Battle of the Bands.
  • Future plans: Since two of the members quit the band, Me and Orrin are hoping to carry on and we are looking for musicians to help. We're taking time out at the moment, we are hoping to write and record a few songs to help us on our way!
  • Any bad gigging moments so far? Quite a few. Most times we've done a gig it's been in places where there wasn't much of an audience.
  • What's in the name? Cabalatchio!?!? Its slang for B******t.
  • Fantasy gig venue? Millennium Stadium.
  • Who'd you like to see down the front? People! We need people to see our gigs.
  • New law your band would introduce? Only live music would be in the charts. None of this computer stuff would be allowed.
  • Anything else we should know? We like making complete prats of ourselves on stage. It's fun.
