Jim Taylor

In Nefyn Jim Taylor (pictured) makes works of art by re-using the distinctive blue Ty Nant mineral water bottles, creating clocks, tiles and ornaments.

He and a partner also make coasters from wine and champagne bottles and their blue glass gravel has been used in the Mediterranean garden in the Eden Project, Cornwall.

Students at Canolfan y Gwystl (disability centre), Y Ffor, help with preparation work and even the packaging process is environmentally friendly - corn starch is used instead of polystyrene.

The work will be exhibited at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Anglesey and is also shown in galleries at Glynllifon, near Caernarfon, Oriel Bangor and Plas Glyn y Weddw, Llanbedrog.
