Teeing off
The golf club is over a hundred years old and there are some lovely views from the course - on a nice day you can see Pen Llyn.
The course is to the southwest of Harlech. The club itself is a bit old-fashioned but the people at the club are very welcoming.
The course is tied first in Wales with Royal Porthcawl. It held the Welsh Seniors Open for the fourth time running on June 2 - 4 this year.
Harlech Rugby
Rugby is a very popular sport in Harlech. We have many different age groups that play in this small town, such as the under 19s who've just won the league by winning every single game of the season. The same goes for the under 16s - they haven't lost a game either. Unfortunately the under 14s aren't as good but they're lacking in experience.
In our Harlech teams we have successful individual players who either play for Wales, in the north Wales team or are having trials for north Wales. Barry Roberts (U19s) plays for Wales, Dafydd Roberts, Elfyn Davies and Alex Evans play for north Wales and Owain Roberts, Eilir Hughes, Carl Whitley, Robat Jones and I are going to have the opportunity to play for north Wales very soon.
There are many teams in this area that I think could do very well, but the problem is that there aren't a lot of people that know where Harlech is, such as people from England that could come and watch us and give some people a chance to go to a bigger club.

Do they still have the Harlech Sevens in the first week of August, as they used to every year, well at least some years ago, also when the Qatar Exiles team would participate. A great weekend was always had by all, one of the best.
