Ground: Farrar Rd, Bangor, Gwynedd Telephone: 01248 355852Brief History: It is believed that Bangor Football Club was formed in 1876 and based at Maes-y-Dref, Hirael, in Bangor. The early 1960s were successful years for Bangor as they won the Welsh Cup and were later entered into the European Cup Winners Cup. After losing to then Italian Cup winners AS Napoli, Bangor were knocked down to their lowest league finish in five years.
The 1980s saw Bangor playing against Northwich at Wembley and against Fredrikstad (Norway) and Atletico Madrid in the European Cup Winners Cup. More recently, the club has won the Welsh Cup in 2008 and 2009.

Hello James Mcallister of Glasgow. I have one of the original programmes of the Bangor v. Napoli game. If it was televised I too would love a copy. If such a thing exists and I track one down I'll try and let you know.

I'm looking for a copy of the Bangor v Napoli game from 1962 at Highbury. I believe it was on TV. My grandfather Jimmy McAllister played for Bangor back then and scored in that game and I would love to get a copy.

I'm currently attending Bangor university and for me, to watch the Bangor football is a welcome relief. I'm not a fan, But the quality is actually pretty good and the games are usually very good
