A series of long throws from Shaun Jones had Llangefni's defence at sixes and sevens and on eight minutes Jones picked out Kevin Roberts who drilled a close range effort past Shaun Pearson.
The LEX skipper Darren Hignett was the next to exploit Jones's long throw and he out-jumped Graham Austin to send a powerful header past Pearson, but the goal was ruled out for an infringement.
It was a feisty affair and Llangefni were down to 10 men following a reckless challenge by Marcus Orlick right under the nose of the linesman.
Whatever Lee Dixon said at the break had quite an impact and an amazing affect on his team as Darren Thomas restored the visitors' advantage with just seconds of the second half commencing. With 10 minutes left, Thomas extended his side's lead even further but there was still time for sub Jack Jones to reduce the deficit in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Buckley Town and visitors Holyhead Hotspur have both had a slow start to their campaigns so in many ways it was no real surprise this encounter fizzled out into a goal-less finish. New addition from Airbus Phil Molyneux stood out for Buckley and he had the game's best chance but his shot from outside the box hit the bar.
Llandudno maintained their unbeaten start with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Ruthin Town who did break the deadlock in the 11th minute through Dafydd Jones. Lee Thomas had the game all square by the break and then Ruthin keeled, allowing Thomas to double his tally and Gareth Evans and Andy Roberts to complete their tally.
A wheel appears to have fallen off the wagon at Caernarfon Town. They suffered their third defeat in four games against a Mold Alex side who carved out a 3-2 victory.
The Canaries did however take a fifth minute lead when Mark Roberts drilled in a low shot at the far post. A controversial handball decision let Mold back in and Darren Pritchard converted the resulting penalty.
The hosts made a change at the break and the first action for sub Steve Maddox was to turn the ball past his own keeper Andy Johnson. Simon Holloway netted the best goal of the match with a splendid half volley in the 56th minute. There was a frantic finish after Anthony Bowden pulled things back to 3-2 but Mold held out.
Flint Town are going great guns at the moment. They defeated Llanfairpwll 3-0 but with the form of the visiting keeper Ben Heald it looked as if this game was not going to produce any goals. Sean Beck eventually broke the deadlock with 20 minutes remaining, a cross from sub Alan Dawson was turned into his own net by a defender and to make the points safe, a Matty Roberts cross was headed in by Johnny Hill.
Berriew secured their first win at this level and they walloped Gresford Athletic 4-1. Lee Phelan was dispossessed in midfield enabling Chris Gethin to prosper on the stroke of half time. Enion Edwards had Gresford in level terms but they tired and leaked in three goals at the final four minutes of the game, Martin Ziamann weighed in with a double salvo and John Harris punished Gresford further.
Guilsfield's Tim Nunnerely is making a splendid impression on his return to the club, he bagged a goal in each half as his side looked in control leading Denbigh Town 4-2 with five minutes left. Rick Astbury and Ross Frame had notched immediately each side of the interval but Denbigh's late show was completed by Jamie Duffy and Liam Jones after Ian Evans and Kevin Evans had netted first half goals.
There is not a lot to report from the Penrhyncoch versus Bethesda encounter which ended goal-less. Phil Jones
