Barmouth Arts Festival

In 1974 the first Barmouth Arts Festival was held and it's still going strong, with most events taking place in the town's Dragon Theatre.
The 2008 event will be held from 6-13 September and features two performances by young percussionist Dewi Ellis Jones, an evening with Hatstand Opera and a concert by Côr Brythoniad.
For the year that Liverpool is European Capital of CUlture, there's a bit of a Scouse theme too, including an evening with playwright Willy Russell and a Fab Beatles night.
