Opera Gala

On Sunday August 28 2005 Bryn kept his promise to bring world-famous performers to this 'little piece of grass between Bangor and Caernarfon'.
This year's special guest was tenor Andrea Bocelli.
He won his first ever award at the age of 12 and is the first recording artist ever to have held the top three places in the US classical Charts in the same week.
As expected Andrea and Bryn performed their Pearl Fishers duet which went down so well at the 2003 Classical Brits Awards.
Canadian-American soprano Erin Marie Wall also sang at the Gala Opera Night. She was hailed as "platinum-class" by The Times for her performance as a finalist in the BBC Singer of the World in Cardiff competition in June 2003, and recently completed a three-year apprenticeship with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, where she sang Marguerite/Faust during the 2003-2004 season.
Gareth Jones conducted Sinfonia Cymru.
