The festival is held over the August Bank Holiday weekend on the Vaynol (Faenol) Estate, home to the 19th century Vaynol Hall, as well as the mainly Tudor Vaynol Old Hall.
There are stalls open from 3pm, so you can do some shopping before you go into the auditorium area.
Make the most of the breathtaking views of Vaynol Hall and Snowdonia. The mountains form a dramatic backdrop to the stage.
Whether you're in the posh seats, or taking pot luck with the promenaders, you should get a good view as the ground slopes down to the stage in a natural amphitheatre.
Food, drink, souvenirs and other purchases are available on the festival site.
Concert-goers are not allowed to bring glass bottles or cans for the Tân y Ddraig night and 18 to 21-year-olds need ID to buy alcohol on all nights. No-one under 21 can enter the arena with alcohol.
Don't forget that each night ends with a spectacular fireworks display - but if you make an early dash for the car park you can still see it from there.
It goes without saying that it might not be sunshine all the way, so bring your waterproofs.
Brush up on the words of the Welsh National Anthem which is sung at the end of some concerts.
There's plenty of parking space, but be prepared to be patient at chucking out time. It can be chaotic, though it has improved over the years. Just put some music on the car stereo and chill! You'll get out eventually.
BBC Wales is the festival's broadcasting partner and concerts will be aired on BBC TV, radio and S4C.

Can anybody please tell me who the lady was who sang "Softly awakes my heart"? This is the first time we have ever seen a clip of the Faenol Festival and only caught this lady singing. It was shown on the 14.07.2006.

I went to my first Faenol Festival this year,as my mom's friends were unable to go, she's been for the last 4 years and taken my eldest daughter for the last 2 years. They've always had a great time. But wow! what an experience! it was brilliant and so was Boyzone and Hope.It was my youngest daughter's 1st Concert, what a great night we all had. Except, what happened to the brilliant Firework display they had told us about? My 10 year old was so looking forward to it at the end of such a brilliant evening. Can't wait till next year.

Attended 'The Hills are Alive' What a fantastic event. Glorious setting, wonderful weather, excellent organisation and stacks of talent on stage. A concert that I shall never forget. Looking forward to 2008.

I enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Brynfest Musicals night on Sunday, possibly my best one ever, except for the missing Welsh National Anthem which is also part of what I look forward to. The crowd were all disappointed and fortunately started it themselves. Can I ask the reason it was not sung by Bryn? It’s not the world gone PC crazy again is it?

Brilliant concert as always, only down side the disabled parking. Parked in the disabled car park then walked the short distance to the queue by the lake but told to walk rightacross the field to the end of the queue which was not possible, and defeats the disabled parking near to the ticket barrier. Is there a special entrence onto the field after parking? there was no one to tell us and numerous other disabled people about it and we were shouted at for joining the queue nearer the disabled car park.
Also, too few disabled toilets, with people having to wait with difficulty. I k! now it is difficult to deal with thousands of people but just a few adjustments would help the less able.
Bryn and his team deserves all the praise for a wonderful event to highlight N Wales.

Make a weekend of it! Bring your tents and caravans and make the most of not having to queue to get home afterwards...

If you are going to the Faenol Festival ignore the times of opening on the tickets. Last year it said 4.30. We got there and there were thousands there already on the site!
You'll enjoy it!
