"I've got a flat of my own now and it's great. I used to share a house with two other people and learned lots about how to live by myself before getting my own place.
I get help with cooking and cleaning and things - although I can cook. I really like making pizzas!
I'd really like a job. I have worked in a shop and I'd like to do something else. I really like children so maybe I could work with them."
Jackie, Ann's support worker also popped onto the Hysbys for a chat.
"Helping people with learning difficulties to live independently in the community is really important. Ann used to live with other people with learning difficulties to learn skills about coping on her own and to give her the confidence to live by herself.
Ann's doing great in her flat. What's most important is the support of the community - the staff in her local shops are great if she ever needs any help.
Getting a job is also important, but can be difficult. We've got to apply for funding from lots of different little charities or organisations to fund work experience and work placements and it takes a lot of time and work. Ann does lots of voluntary work at the moment which is great experience. It all helps her to live an independent life."
