Falcon Hildred
Last updated: 27 April 2006
Jacqui Thomas, Radio Wales community reporter for Penrhyndeudraeth, visits Melin Pant-yr-Ynn in Blaenau Ffestiniog, a restored watermill which is now a studio and exhibition space.
There she meets the artist Falcon Hildred who has always been fascinated by the shapes, sounds and smells of working towns.
He takes us around the building where he exhibits his work. Currently working on a major study of the slate mining community through his drawings of quarries, terraces, chapels and more Falcon aims to form a pictorial and artistic record of Blaenau's unique landscape of outstanding historical interest.
