Abergele University of the Third Age (U3A) art club meets every Friday at Abergele Community Centre. Here this enthusiastic group of 50+ painters display some of their work and explain what inspired them to pick up a paint brush.
I just started painting two years ago - I'd never tried it before, but when I heard about this group I decided to go for it. We don't have tutors here, but I'm progressing with everyone's help and I feel like I'm achieving something.
My aim is to create a painting of a tiger in pastels. I'm practising with watercolours, but pastels are my ultimate aim. June Pollard
