School meal report

Children eating school dinners

Last updated: 12 December 2007

School meals have been in the headlines a lot lately. Now pupils at an Anglesey primary school have put together their own news report on this topic close to their hearts.

Listen to the report.

The team from the BBC Wales Bus worked with Anglesey Council, visiting four schools on the island to hold radio workshops.

The children had to think of a topic that they would like to research and discuss further, then they were giving some advice on how to ask questions and plan the package.

Ysgol Pentraeth pupils decided to tackle the thorny subject of school dinners, and interviewed the school dinner lady, as well as other children.

The Anglesey radio workshops were held as part of the Read a Million Words literacy campaign.
