A small cottage in Menai Bridge. This is what the buildings along the coast would have been like prior to the bridge's construction when ferrymen and fishermen were central to the economy of the area. How they must have complained about the building of the Toll Bridge which would have taken away their livelihoods. Maybe compensation helped to ease the pain.
