Beaumaris Castle

There are over 200 castles in Wales, I'm told, and the people of the historic town of Beaumaris will claim this as one of the best. Jan Morris describes it as "the most elegant...all curvilinear symmetry...[with] a little toy harbour tucked neatly in its flank." Quite!
