From community cabaret to treasure hunts, BBC DJs to coastal walks, it was all going on when 'Here for you' hit Anglesey.
The two-month union with BBC Wales put Anglesey under its very own media spotlight and involved every area of BBC Wales's output - across television, radio and online services - encompassing everything from news, arts and education to drama, music and sport.
But this was a spotlight with a difference - because it was the people who live locally who will led the way by contributing to programmes, developing ideas for stories that are important to them and writing for BBC websites.
An advisory board of local people was formed and community groups came up with plans for BBC Wales output from the area.
Anglesey was the fifth area of Wales to benefit from the 'Here For You' rolling programme of community projects. The initiative visited Aberdare in the South Wales valleys earlier after highly successful stints in Denbigh, Butetown and Carmarthen in 2005. However, this was the first time the initiative covered an area as big as Anglesey.
The project kicked off with a special roadshow where local people had the opportunity to try their hand at skills such as newsreading, weather presenting and sports commentary or have their picture taken next to the TARDIS from Doctor Who, which is made by BBC Wales.
