'Happy anniversary darling, we're going on a cruise'. She opened my card and looked at the tickets that would take us round Anglesey on the 60-year-old MV Balmoral - it's the thought that counts. Our ship was moored at Menai Bridge Pier in brilliant sunshine and we shuffled on board with the other 500 passengers. We would be travelling clockwise, so we moved to the right hand side as you look at the sharp end, just in time to get a front row position in comfortable deckchairs, with a well-polished hand rail to lean on.
