Mawddach Woodlands
There are two nature trails to help you get the most out of the RSPB's reserves in the Mawddach Valley, near Dolgellau.
The trails are set in wood and scrubland, and are home to a variety of birds, including the spring pied flycatchers, wood warblers and redstarts.
Ravens and buzzards are also present throughout the year. Look out for dippers and peregrines, too.
Opening times:
Site open at all times.
Access:
Both Arthog Bog and Coed Garth Gell have circular walks for varying abilities. The former has room to park and public toilets, as well as having an access trail. The latter is on the north side of the estuary and has limited parking, no toilets and is rugged and steep in places.
Location:
Penmaenpool, Dolgellau, Gwynedd, LL40 1YF.
Directions:
Near Penmaenpool, 2km west of Dolgellau on the A493.
