Coed Llyn Mair
Coed Llyn Mair is part of the Coedydd Maentwrog National Nature Reserve, which extends for a mile and a half along the northern side of the Vale of Ffestiniog.
The woodland is home to a rich variety of bird life including goshawk, sparrowhawk and peregrine falcons. Buzzards are also a common sight, and sometimes, red kites can be spotted as they continue to spread from their stronghold in mid Wales.
There are also wooden wildlife sculptures dotted around the trail.

Access:
There is a level path from Tan-y-Bwlch station to an information display and picnic area. The remainder of the woodland path is steep and craggy with occasional steps.

Directions:
To reach the woodland by car turn off the A487 at the Oakley Arms Hotel and follow the road for about half a mile. A small car park is situated on the right, at the entrance of Coed Llyn Mair.
You can alight at Tan-y-Bwlch station on the Ffestiniog Railway and follow the nature trail, which follows a circular route through Coed Llyn Mair and back to the station.
