Plas yn Rhiw
Plas yn Rhiw is a 16th century small manor house, restored to its former glory by the three Keating sisters who bought it in 1938. The grounds, which have great views over Cardigan Bay, also include ornamental gardens which contain many interesting flowering trees and shrubs, with beds framed by box hedges and grass paths.
Brilliant displays of snowdrops and bluebells can be found in the woods during spring and summer.
Elliw Evans from Nefyn tells us: "Plas yn Rhiw is in Rhiw, a small village in Pen Llyn. The gardens at Plas yn Rhiw are very beautiful. You can experience the beautiful view over Hell's Mouth. The snowdrops are wonderful early in the year, as well as the daffodils and bluebells in spring.
The house is as it was in the 1930s. I am a volunteer there, as a warden welcoming the visitors to the house. I enjoy meeting people and enjoy my work."
