- Glyn had his first taste of broadcasting as a novice presenter on BBC Radio Cymru. As a fourth form student at Ysgol y Moelwyn he received some training in how to be a presenter as part of a successful local opt-out by BBC Wales in the Blaenau area.
"Glyn was very keen and very enthusiastic," said John Roberts, the producer responsible. "He was obviously a very popular student, and when various roles were given to his group he was nominated as the presenter by his fellow school friends."

Big Brother 2006 contestant Glyn Wise lives in Blaenau Ffestiniog with his mother Ann, who works at the bank in Llanrwst, and his father William, who works at Airbus. He has two older sisters, Annette who lives in Llanwrtyd Wells and Alison who lives on Anglesey.
Glyn was head boy at Ysgol y Moelwyn, Blaenau Ffestiniog, before moving to the sixth form at Dyffryn Conwy School, Llanrwst. He was studying for A-levels in art, English and Welsh, when he entered the Big Brother house.
Glyn was also a part-time lifeguard, and not ashamed of being seen in his uniform, saying "I am the closest example to perfection". He entered Big Brother to "to get nationwide attention and show off my sexy body to millions".
In his first days in the BB house he got into trouble for speaking Welsh with fellow contestant Imogen from Llanelli, but Big Brother later said they could speak Welsh as long as they didn't discuss off-limit topics, such as nominations.
Glyn had dreams of being the first male Page 3 model, but since leaving the Big Brother house has published his autobiography in Welsh, worked as a presenter on BBC Radio Cymru and been a mentor on the Big Welsh Challenge.

i knew Glyn when he was young and he was a good kid,Im proud to be english and im proud to say that. good luck to glyn i hope he lives life to the full and parties like everyday is the last. i live back in the midlands now but i miss that community spirit.

What a man! Not only did Glyn Wise put community spirit back into Blaenau, but he himself has given back what he can. He has visited the schools and played football with the kids, he has given his precious free time to do what he can for the community, how many well known celebs do that?
