Friends

Friends A collection of poems by Sophie, who attends the Venue Youth Centre, Plas Madoc, Wrexham:

Friends

There is a feeling you have got inside,
A feeling you just can't hide when you lose a friend,
The pain just does not end
Because you can't replace a friend.

Pluck up the courage to say
Please be my friend,
Then in time your scars will mend,
If you have a friend.

Let's make a chain and never forget
Our friendship that is not dead yet.
You're my chum, you're my mate, my pal, my friend,
We will be mates until the end.
Talk about friends and friendship

Silver Mane

The forest was quiet and still,
Not a shriek or a howl could be heard,
The forest was gentle and peaceful,
Something was about to be stirred.

When across the forest a shimmer was seen,
And a bright silver appeared
That you could only see in your dream,
It was Silver Mane, the spirit of the herd.

Moving to Switzerland

A summer's night in Switzerland stirs even the strongest mind
And reminds you of the memories left behind.

The sun is smiling at you, be polite and smile back,
In the farmer's shed lies an old hay stack.

Mother's in the kitchen, you are longing to explore,
You softly, so softly, sneak through the kitchen door.

Now you are in the garden there is so much to see,
Take your shoes off and run through the field, be free child, be free.

Now it's dark, there is no more sun, you will have a good night's sleep
As your head is full of Switzerland Dreams.
