I am 15 and I have a beautiful daughter who is eight weeks old. I found out that I was pregnant when I was 21 weeks' gone. I knew I had to tell my family but it was hard because I didn't know how they were going to react. I was terrified; I didn't know how to tell them. At first when I told them they were upset and would not say anything to me. Then my dad started to get angry after a couple of days. Not with me but with my boyfriend. I wasn't allowed to see my boyfriend for four weeks. My mum was very understanding and helped me a lot. My sisters were just really excited.
It all started to get back to normal when we started going shopping for the baby. Now they are fine, they are so happy that I had her and wouldn't change her for the world. My boyfriend comes to my house every day to see me and our little girl.
Telling my friends was really easy for me because I have such great friends. They were all very shocked but very excited. I told my friends before my parents so they all had to keep hush. Although my friends were really good, I understand that many people get bullied.
Telling my school was harder because I thought the teachers would all look down on me and think I was a slag but in fact they were really good and supported me with what I wanted to do. They understood that I wanted to stay on at school so they put me in touch with Cyfle which is a school for teenage mums. Cyfle has a crèche so I can take Caitlyn with me.
Looking back on it now I wish I had told everyone sooner. It was very hard and upsetting but it all worked out fine. I think if I had told them sooner it wouldn't have been so hard. Now I have a beautiful daughter, I am going back to school and life is looking good.
