Wrexham in the 1960s

This black and white film from BBC Archives shows Wrexham town centre in the 1960s. The film focuses on Wrexham the town with all its markets.

The short clip is taken from a 30 minute film showing Wrexham county in the 1960s. The footage shows the old livestock 'Beast' market in the vicinity of what is now Eagles Meadow, as well as the bus station and the town centre before it was pedestrianised.

Other clips from this film which was made for a schools programme have been used separately for Brymbo Steelworks and Gresford Colliery.
