I've been a juggler and made balloon animals for years as a hobby. I'm not currently working and someone suggested that I put my hobbies to use as a volunteer. So now I help Wrexham's AVOW by providing the entertainment at presentations and open days.

I've been doing this since the beginning of 2003. It's the first time I've ever performed in front of an audience and my first performance was nerve wracking. But I've gained confidence as time has gone on and now find it very enjoyable.

Volunteering has been a great way for me to gain confidence and experience as an entertainer. I'd like to do this as a career so it will have helped with work experience too and given me something to aim for.
