My husband and I visited this beautiful church when our good friend David Butterworth was Vicar. Comming from the States we had never seen anything so historic, of such age and beauty. And the surrounding grounds were so quiet and peaceful. Something out of an old movie that you think doesn't really exist but then you go to Hanmer and there it is. Thank you for preserving this beauty and history.

I grew up in Gresford and went to the church primary school 1960-67. We had our Christmas carol and nativity play concerts in this beautiful church. I was also a choir boy there when Mr Parry was the choirmaster. You could hear the church bells all over the village on a Sunday. No surprise they are one of the seven wonders of Wales.

My parents were married in this beautiful church in 1948. Jack (John) and Joan Hart both deceased. I have been back to Wrexham and just love to look at the church it is truly beautiful.

I have visited all the churches in the open doors Heritage days last summer and took photos of all the stain glass windows in each church for my own personal use, they are very beautiful the workmanship and time it must have taken to perfect the finished windows one can only amazed at there skill in there trade. Do visit all the churches when the Heritage days open there doors in 2006. Webteam responds: Perhaps you'd consider allowing this website to display your photos. Email: wales.northeast@bbc.co.uk
