Details: The Maes Hiraddug reserve contains an excellent example of the type of wildflower meadow that occurred before modern agricultural land management. This meadow and the one adjacent to the north-east together form the Maes Hiraddug Site of Special Scientific Interest. It was created in 1999 in recognition of the importance of the meadow habitat.

Location: The reserve is just north-east of the village of Dyserth, between Rhuddlan and Prestatyn. From the main road through Dyserth (A5151) take the narrow lane alongside Quarry House Surgery. Follow the lane until you pass some steps either side of the road. Parking is available in a small lay-by opposite a narrow lane about 50m further along the road. Walk back to the steps and take the ones on the left to enter the reserve.
