Among the big names was Canadian rocker Bryan Adams and Wet Wet Wet along with Big Brother 5 winner Nadia; classical artist Katherine Jenkins; Lisa Stansfield; Intenso Project featuring Lisa Scott-Lee; Dragonheart and new singer songwriter Kristian Leontiou.

An audience of 6,000 enjoyed the free event on Llwyn Isaf, the town centre green opposite the Guildhall, which is more used to picnickers than concert-goers. The concert was broadcast on BBC Wales & BBC Radio Wales on Children in Need night (November 19 2004).

The concert was co-promoted by BBC Wales and Wrexham Council with the support of Airbus UK. A concert highlights programme and series of individual performances is to be broadcast soon on digital channel BBC 2W.
